This involves creating a comfortable space with as many chairs as the designer of the room believes will be necessary at any given period of time. The office furniture should involve comfortable chairs, end tables for magazines and nice lamps and artwork for the walls. This can be done for even a small corner of a room or for an entire room-whatever is necessary.

If cubicles are required, they should be set up first so that the space can be defined. Even if it’s just a single office with one desk, it is a good idea to set up where everything should be before setting up the office. Office furniture is heavy and it should be clear exactly where it should go.

There should be a computer desk or at least a place to put a lap top and there should be either a wireless router or a connection for a computer accessible from the desk. There should also be a comfortable, preferably leather chair for the individual to sit on. In many cases, there should be visitor chairs on the opposite side of the desk.

Office furniture should include the appropriate lighting, either overhead or through the use of lamps, or both. There should be places to file things, such as filing cabinets or places for computer backup files.

Plants, real or fabricated, make a nice ambiance within the room. To completely outfit the room, consider buying a paper shredder, garbage can, and numerous office supplies like an office paper punch, stapler, pens, pencils, erasers and tape. There may be the need for a fax machine and an office printer attached to the computer or used with another computer.
